To the family of The late Prime Minister May God grant you always...A sunbeam to warm you, a moonbeam to charm you, a sheltering Angel so nothing can harm you. Laughter to cheer you. Faithful friends near you. And whenever you pray, Heaven to hear you.”

For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer.”

I'm really saddened to hear of the passing of my Prime Minister and I express sympathies to the widow and relatives of The Hon David Thompson. My heart has a smile though when I hear about the many lives He's touched, impacted and changed for the better. Whatever our purpose is in life, God requires that we impress upon all the lives we encounter so powerfully that they are pressured to change. So Mr Prime Minister kudos to a job well done. May God embrace you within His arms.

Barbados has lost a truly remarkable leader whose life though short was filled with many accomplishments. He was a man of the people and for the people and he will be missed by the Barbadian people. As a Guyanese and sister Caricom national, I join with the Barbadian people in mourning his passing. I pray that his family is comforted by the many memories and that his Mighty Soul Rests In Peace.
